The energy that comes from stored items in your room emit a specific energy that harms thefeng shui. That’s why it’s very important to clean out any clutter or disorganization in order to allow the energy to properly flow around you. Start simple with just one drawer or one small shelf and experience how the act of decluttering can be so vitalizing.

Obtain a Command Center

The placement of your bed in a command center is key in Feng Shui. It is important to not align your bed with your doors. Putting your bed against a wall that is shared with a bathroom also hurts the vibes of your room. By putting your bed in a position away from the door, but still being able to see the door lying down is a “command center” because you can see who enters your space. Placing equal amounts of space between the two sides of your ned also creates a harmonious balance of energy. The same can be applied to a fireplace mantle or the main focal point of any room.

Using electronic devices before bed confuses your bodies internal clock and curbs the release of a sleep inducing hormone called melatonin. With the delay of this hormone, one will have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. It’s also important to note that electronics emit harmful energy when not in use, as well, so it’s important to keep them out of your room.  A substitute for using your phone is reading a book or using a tablet (such as a Kindle) that does not emit blue light.
